Palmquist gets game ball

Posted in Athletes, Posted by Bob, State, Volleyball | No Comments »

Here’s an update from the Best Western lobby…

Annie Palmquist was Jay Messar’s player of the match for the Grantsburg/Laconia state semi-final.

Here’s his write-up about the division 3 matches plus a preview of tomorrow’s Championship match. As always, he is right on with his analysis.

I also checked the Cheese and Volleyball  site, as usual, and was incredibly surprised and touched by the words of my unknown friend(s) over there. They linked to my story in this past week’s Burnett County Sentinel which talked about my daughter and Sarah Wald’s relationship.

Unfortunately, it looks like the Sentinel has completely changed their format so you can only get the first sentence of the story.

What others are saying

The humans over at Cheese and Volleyball previewed the season here. They also highlighted Kortney Morrin as someone they would travel to see (via WisSports.net).

I’ll update the site whenever I see other articles about any of our teams. If you find something, please email me!

Volleyball in May?

I know the season is still months away and baseball/softball/golf/track season is in full swing, but I ran across this tasty morsel on Cheese and Volleyball tonight (they posted it on January 1, so I’m a little slow on the uptake here). Trust me, you’ll want to check it out.

Grantsburg’s perfection noted

According to the wonderful blogger over at Cheese and Volleyball, Grantsburg is one of two teams left in the state, regardless of division, who are undefeated. Here is their post. (Rosholt has lost since that post)
