The St. Croix Falls Saints journey north tonight to take on the Grantsburg Pirates in West Lakeland Conference double-header basketball. Girls play first at 5:45 and the boys play approximately twenty minutes after the final buzzer of the girls game.

The Saints are undefeated in conference play (4-0) and have only one loss compared to their eight wins on the season. Their only loss coming to St. Croix Central (8-2) 55-34.

St. Croix senior, Addie McCurdy, averages 16.8 points and 7 rebounds per game. She needs 207 points over the remainder of the season to reach 1,000 for her career. She has 13 more regular season games so she’ll have to average about 16 points per game. Good luck, Addie!

The Pirates are in third place, a game an a half behind St. Croix and half a game ahead of fourth place Frederic. Unity is a game ahead of Grantsburg and is in second place.

The Saints are scuffling a bit record-wise this year. Their record is 2-8, but their two wins have come in conference play where they are 2-1, good enough for fourth place just half a game behind Grantsburg and a game and a half from the first place Webster Tigers.

The Pirates own an impressive record of 7-1 and are 3-1 in the West Lakeland. Their lone loss to the Tigers in Webster.
