Grantsburg volleyball to face Clear Lake

The volleyball team advanced to the second round of the playoffs last night by beating Glenwood City in straight sets.

Friday they take on a more familiar foe as the Clear Lake Warriors come to town.

Clear Lake finished tied for seventh in the West Lakeland with a 4-6 conference record and a 14-9 overall record.

The Pirates beat them handily during the regular season 25- 12, 11, 6.

There were no real upsets in the first round. I'm keeping my eye on a few teams. Washburn and Eau Claire Regis both won handily in their 1 vs. 8 matches last night. So did Racine-St. Catherine's (the only other undefeated team in the state along with Grantsburg) as they won 25 – 1,3,3… holy smokes!
